Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says the failure in Afghanistan has a lot to teach the United States. The most important of these lessons is to solve one’s own internal problems without interfering in the internal affairs of another state, and not to impose one’s way of life on others.
He made the remarks during a meeting with Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schlenberg in Vienna.
“We have seen in Afghanistan, as well as in Libya, Syria and Iraq, that the United States has tried to impose its own way of life on the citizens of those countries,” he said. He wanted to force them to live like them. ‘
Lavrov said terrorist activity has increased around the world since the US intervention in those countries. Drug production has also increased. Besides, problems like immigration have become international.
He also called on the United States not to violate the UN Charter. The Taliban took control of the Afghan capital, Kabul, on August 15.
