The names of Luv Ranjan and Imtiaz Ali among those who give romantic stories of their mood are taken prominently in this era. Both do not keep their treatment in mind. Luv Ranjan has been giving loud rom-coms from the perspective of young women. There has been a confusion about the relationship between the characters of Imtiaz Ali. But Puneet Khanna, director of the film ‘Ginni Weds Sunny’, has failed to follow the love story of the two makers.

Streaming of the film has started on the OTT platform Netflix by Vikram Massey and Yami Gautam Starr. The film attempts to create comedy through the well-known craze regarding marriage among Punjabi families of Delhi NCR. Sometimes she laughs, but on many occasions she is boring. The protagonist is Satnam Sethi alias Sunni (Vikrant Massey), who is desperate to get married, as his father (Rajiv Gupta) will give her a shop on the same condition.

In this circle, he contracts a relationship with many, but the failure is at hand. The heroine Ginni (Yami Gautam) is a highly confused soul. It has been a year and a half since Nishant (Suhail Nair) broke up, but is unable to move on. Her mother Shobha Juneja (Ayesha Raza) is a match maker, but is unable to get her daughter married.

Sonny really wants Ginni a lot, but she does not get a sense. The film is about the journey of whom and how someone gets married.

The craze of the families of the hero and the heroine is quite minor. Which have been tried before in many films of this genre too. Especially in films under the banner of Luv Ranjan. The confusion about the present, past and future of Sovereign is a faded version of the stories of Imitaz Ali.

Not only Imtiaz Ali, Jaideep Sahni has also shown such youth in his films. There is a scene in ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ where Rishi Kapoor tells Sushant Singh Rajput, ‘Today’s youth are running away from situations. The first run after each other. Then run away from each other. Everyone will keep on running whether they will ever stay. ‘

Here is the problem of Ginni and Nishant, which keeps turning the film. Sunny Typical Love is behaving like Ranjan’s Sunny Singh, who is innocent. He does not understand how to treat girls. That is, the newness in the film is less.

It is believed that Vikrant Massey, Yami Gautam, Rajeev Gupta, Ayesha Raza and Suhail Nair have crossed the film with their actors. Song and music have also given strong support to it. The dialogues have been penned by ‘Stree’ Sumit Arora and ‘Jai Mammi Di’ fame Navjot Gulati. They also cover up weak writing and directions to an extent.

Some dialogs also have confusions. Like when a young woman says to Sunny at the beginning of the film, “If you want a guaranteed return, invest in mutual funds, don’t be in a relationship”. While the reality is that mutual funds themselves are subject to market risks.
